About This Song
Ashina , a poetry writer turned singer/songwriter currently based in Sydney was born and raised in a beautiful small village of Nepal called Pithuwa. Enticed by the nature , poetry and art from a tender age but never imagined herself being an artist and would release her own record someday. She says , in the quest of trying to understand life within and around , she started gravitating towards music at quite later age of her life. The singer/ songwriter says her songs portray tales of her own life events. “Fasting of my heart” is her debut song. Written and composed by the singer herself , the song portrays her own journey of heartbreak and healing from it .
The Story Behind This Song
Its a track was birthed back in 2021 when she was going through her own journey of healing from a heartbreak . She so badly wanted to release the pain she was going through in the form of melody that she bought herself a guitar and named it “Sunflower” . One fine evening in her bedroom at Bay street Apartment she just started humming the melody on few basic chords with her unpolished strumming skill . This gave her hope that it is possible for her to now create her own music . She was initially unsure if the song is good enough for studio release but after singing the song in few gatherings among friends , she got the needed push that it might be ok to debut with the track . The song was produced and mixed by the amazing Daniel Tomolaris in his home studio , Overgrown Studio .
