Bio: Mateo is a Belgian singer-songwriter based in Manchester, crafting emotionally honest music that reads like pages from his diary. Channelling experiences of depression, homesickness, love, and self-growth, faith, he blends raw, powerful vocals with intimate storytelling. Inspired by artists such as SYML, Lewis Capaldi, and FINNEAS, Mateo writes for introverts, mental health advocates, and anyone who’s ever felt alone. Mateo is currently recording his debut Album ‘The Thing About Love’ to be released in September 2026. With over 200,000 streams and performances at venues including Band on the Wall, his music proves that even on the hardest days, the best is yet to come. Song Info: I’m a Manchester-based pop singer-songwriter, and I’ve just released my new single “Part to Meet.” I wrote it in one day, a week after my ex told me, “I love you, but I don’t think we should be together.” The song comes from that heartbreak and the hope that a goodbye might not be forever. I remember praying that we were parting to meet again. I wrote the ending a week later. We wanted it to feel raw, so we recorded chant-style vocals from across the room, about seven metres from the mic, singing and shouting together.
