Accompanying Monstress’ single release, Hit It While It’s Hip, is a bold, vibrant, and highly energetic music visualizer crafted by the talented director Riley O’Toole and production designer Lily Currey-Billyard.
Drawing from the song’s lyrical foundation, the visualizer builds a sharp commentary on the pressures artists face to quickly "construct" new works that fit the fleeting frameworks of trending demands. As creators, we aim to push boundaries but are often punished for doing so, forcing us to follow the rigid blueprints of the status quo.
